Ambergris Caye is an island located 35 miles northeast of Belize City. After flying into Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), visitors have the option of commuting to San Pedro via 15 minute flight or 90 minute water taxi. Once you arrive in San Pedro, our neighbors with Coral Divers Belize will meet you for a boat transfer to the house. Tino, our caretaker, will greet you upon arrival for check-in.
Flights from Belize City to San Pedro:
Domestic flights from BZE to SPR can be booked through Tropic Air or Maya Island Air and cost between $120 and $180 round trip. It is recommended to book a domestic flight about an hour after your scheduled arrival to BZE when traveling to San Pedro and about two hours before your SPR to BZE return flight when leaving the country.
Water Taxi from Belize City to San Pedro:
From Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport you will need to take a taxi cab to the Belize City Water Taxi Terminal. This cab ride costs about $30US and takes about 35 minutes. There's no problem with using US cash in Belize and the conversion is $2BZ:$1US. You can take the Belize Water Taxi from Belize City to San Pedro for US$28 one way or US$38 round trip, and advance booking is available online.
Getting Around Ambergris Caye
We have one complimentary golf cart at the house and additional carts can be rented for travel around the island. Our house is located 4.1 miles North of San Pedro Town, but there is only one “Road North” once you cross the bridge out of town. At the 4 mile mark, when “Road North” comes to a T, turn right to get to Third Coast Belize and follow the signage along the road from that point.
